Arabic IDN domain names blog "البلوجر نطاق"

مع انه هناك الكثير من الاشخاص يمتلكون قائمة نطاقات افضل بكثير من نطاقاتي لذا شرفني كثيرا عمل مقابلة مع البلوجر نطاق

ظللت اشتري نطاقات الاي دي ان منذ ثلاثة اشهر تقريبا وعلمت عنها عن طريق عضو في منتدي نطاقات الاي دي ان

طرحت الكثير من الاسئلة عن تلك النطاقات في منتديات اخري عندها قام بمراسلتي علي الخاص وقال لي عن المنتدي ولم اكن اعرف الكثير عن هذه النطاقات في ذلك الوقت فاخذت في دراستها
كان اول نطاق اقوم بتسجيله كوري واعتقدت اني حظيت بغنيمة لان قاموسي قال انه يعني شبكة ولم اكن اعلم عن مصادر جيدة مثل اوفيرشور وانه يعمل مع تلك النوعية من النطاقات ولم اكن اعلم انه يوجد اوفيرشور خاص بكوريا حتي اني لم اكن اعرف ما يكفي عن نتائج البحث في جوجل وفي النهاية اكتشفت ان المصطلح غير صحيح لكن يتم كتابته كثيرا عن طريق الخطأ هاها ومع تلك النوعية من النطاقات يجب ان تتوقع ان تتركب مثل تلك الاخطاء الا اذا كنت طليق في اللغة التي تتعامل معها لكنه في الحقيقة ليس علم محدد

وقد اندهشوا جدا ابواي عندما اعلمتهم بهذا الاسم
انا الان املك حوالي 1800 نطاق من الاي دي ان حوالي اكثر من 200 نطاق عربي وهذه الارقام تتزايد يوم بعد يوم
وعندما بدأت بالنطاقات العربية سجلت البعض بفضل مساعدة قائمة ال500 نطاق وتلك القائمة ساعدتني كثيرا كي ابدأ
وفي ذلك الوقت لم اكن علي دراية كافية بكثير من القواميس والتراجم الموجودة اونلاين لكن الحق يقال ان اول 20 نطاق عربي سجلتهم من تلك القائمة هم افضل نطاقاتي العربية ثم بعد ذلك اكتشفت القواميس المتاحة اونلاين مثل
Ectaco.com and Systranet.com
بدرجات متفاوتة من النجاح
ايضا موسوعة ويكيبيديا كانت مصدر مفيد لبعض المصطلحات التكنولوجية التي لا تلتقطها القواميس
اهم شيء في تلك النطاقات ينساه الداخلين الجدد هو تفحص شيوع ذلك المصطلح عن طريق جوجل واوفيرشور واذا كانت نتائج جوجل اقل من مائة الف فان ذلك يوحي بان المصطلح غير صحيح وانظر علي عدد النتائج هلي هي ما تتوقعه لذلك المصطلح وانظر الي الصور ايضا في النتائج للتأكيد فلا تتعجل بتسجيل نطاق اعتمادا كليا علي قاموس او موسوعة فاحيانا تلك المصادر تخطأ وحاول التأكد بكل الادوات المتاحة

لان التطور الذي تشهده تلك المدينة مدهش ويتم صرف الكثير من الاموال هناك لذا اعتقد ان اي شيء مرتبط بها هو مؤكد وسينجح
ورغم البيعة الاخيرة التي سجلت لنطاق معلومات دوت كوم فالسوق العربي مازال يحاول اللحاق بالسوق الاسيوي والنطاقات
العربية لا يتم التجارة فيها بنفس نشاط النطاقات الاسيوية حتي هذه اللحظة لكن الحقيقة ان السوق البطيء يتيح فرصة عظيمة للقفز داخله في ظل اسعار معقولة جدا
انا اعتقد بان السوق العربي سيكون ضخم في المستقبل والحقيقة ان اللغة العربية حية في كثير من الدول المختلفة وذلك يعني ان ليس هناك امتداد لدولة عربية سيكون سائدا وسيكون امتداد كوم ونت للنطاقات العربية هو السائد ولن تستطيع امتدادات الدول العربية منافسته كما في امتداد اليابان او روسيا ايضا مع وجود اكثر من 300 مليون متحدث باللغة يوحي بمستقبل عظيم لتلك النطاقات
اخيرا نصيحتي للداخلين الجدد سوق تلك النطاقات ينمو بسرعة وستزداد وتيرته بمرور الوقت ومازال هناك الكثير من المصطلحات الجيدة لالتقاطها نعم كثير من افضل النطاقات تم تسجيله لكن كثيرا من الاسماء التي لا غبار عليها مازالت متاحة حاول فقط الحصول علي مصادر جيدة وبعض القواميس والتراجم وفكر في اسماء ستجد كثير جيد مازال متاح مثل زهور وكواكب الذين كانا متاحين منذ ايام وحظ سعيد للجميع

While there are many people on IDNForums with Arabic portfolios much more impressive than mine – I am honored to be asked for an interview at IDN blog.

My name is Moran Haddad and I’ve been purchasing IDNs for about 3 months now. I first learned about IDNs from a member of IDNForums. I was posting some general questions about IDNs at another domain forum when he PMed me and told me about IDNForums. I didn’t know a whole lot about IDNs at the time so I checked it out. I registered my first IDN a few days later and haven’t stopped since.

My first IDN was actually Korean. I thought I hit the jackpot because my dictionary said the term meant ‘web’. I didn’t know resources like Overture worked for IDNs or that there was a specific Korean Overture. I didn’t even know enough to check Google results. Turns out the term was not correct, but makes a great typo. LOL. With IDNs you have to expect to make some mistakes. Unless you are fluent in the language your dealing with it’s really not an exact science.

One of my first Arabic IDNs was حداد.net – my last name. My parents got a kick out of that when I told them about it.

Currently I own about 1800 IDNs with slightly more than 200 being Arabic IDNs – and that number is increasing every day.

The first Arabic domains I registered were done with the help of g’s list. Your lists of over 500 IDNs really helped me get started. At the time I was not aware of many of the online dictionaries and translators. Those first 20 or so IDNs I registered off of your list are probably some of my best Arabic names. Since then I’ve discovered the host of online dictionaries – including Ectaco.com and Systranet.com – both with varying degrees of success. Wikipedia is also a good source for some technical terms that dictionaries typically can’t translate.

The most important thing with IDNs - that many newcomers forget – is to check the popularity of the term. Check the number of Google search results and check Overture. Google results under 100K may indicate the term is not correct. Look at the search results – are they what you would expect for your term. Look at the images associated with your search – are they what you expect. Don’t just register a name because a dictionary said this was the correct term or because Wikipedia said it was correct. These sources are often wrong, verify the results using all the tools available to you.

I don’t know what my top Arabic IDN is but my favorite is دبي.tv. I’d love to have دبي.com or even دبي.net. The kind of development going on in Dubai is astounding. So much money is being spent there that anything with ‘dubai’ attached to it seems like a sure thing.

Even with the recent boost from the sale of ‘information.com’ the Arabic market is still catching up to the Asian market. Arabic names are not being traded as much as Asian IDNs are at the moment. This slow market provides a great opportunity for people to jump in when prices are still reasonable. I think the Arabic market will be huge in the future. The fact that Arabic is spoken in so many different countries means that no ccTLD will be dominant. The only truly global extensions for Arabic IDNs will be .com and .net. Competition with the various ccTLDs will be minimal unlike the Japanese (.jp) and Russian (.ru) markets. I see the .com and .net as the global sources of information for the world’s Arabic speaking population. And with close to 300 million total Arabic speakers worldwide the potential for Arabic IDNs is great.

My advice to newcomers would be to get started. The IDN market is growing rapidly and this pace will only increase. I believe there are still a lot of good Arabic terms out there. Yes, many of the top names are taken, but solid names are available. Find a good resource – online translators, dictionaries, native speakers – and generate some lists. Most people start looking for the premium terms – music, sports, clothes – these names are long gone. Go for the less ‘glamorous’ terms that are still very good and probably available – for example, instead of ‘flower.com’ look for ‘plant.com’ (which was available a couple of days ago).
